We are pleased to welcome you on board Tubely. If you have not yet checked out the Tubely Chat Room then now is the time. To get you started quickly with how Tubely Chat works, keep reading... We try to answer most of your questions below. |
| How do I see a user's information in Chat? |
 | When you click on a username in the chatroom you will notice details like shown in the image on the left.
User's age/gender and location is shown.
If the user is running a webcam, it will start streaming immediately. Similarly if the user has audio ON you can hear them too :)
If you do not want to watch or listen, you can click on the A and V buttons below their photo, to disable Audio or Video respectively.
To add a user as your friend click on the "Add Friend" button. | | To enlarge their photos you can press the + button below their photo. Hmm.. Well you know what the - button is for :) | |
| What are Rooms? How many Rooms are there in Tubely? |
 | By default when you enter Tubely Chat you will be in a room called "Tubely Chat".
Any room that you are currently in will be highlighted in GREEN.
To leave a room you can press the "Leave" button.
To know what a particular room is about click on the "Description" button below the room name.
To the right of every room name the total user count in that room is displayed.
You can see the usernames of users and a tiny thumbnail of their uploaded photos as well as how long they have been chatting in a particular room.
Like for ex. in the image to left we can find that the "Waiting Room" has 20 users while the "PINOY" room has 19 users. If you wish to create a new room you can click on the "New Room" button at the top.
To join a room click on that room name and click the "Join" Button. To know about any user in the room click on the username. | | Note: Please talk in English in the "Tubely Chat" room. To speak in other languages, visit a room meant for that language. We have language rooms for French, Pinoy and so on. If you don't find a language room create one. | |
| How do I start a private conversation with a user? |
| To start a private conversation click on the IM button below the photo of the user. A Instant Message request is sent to the opposite person and if they agree to chat with you you can continue your conversation in a private 1 to 1 window. |
| How do I make my own room for me and my friends? |
| To create a room for yourself click on the "New Room" button on top right. Give your room a name and type in any description. For. ex. "games room" or "For counter strike fans ONLY". |
| How do I turn my audio/video ON? |
 | To start your video click on the "V" button below your photo.
To start your audio click on the "A" button below your photo.
To stop you can press the "A" and "V" buttons.

How would I know which user has audio or is having webcam ON?
How do I know who is watching my webcam? |
 | Every room list has a column which is OUT and ME.
The OUT column shows "A" and "V" in Green for users who have audio or video. "A" means user has audio enabled and "V" means user has Video Enabled.
If someone is hearing your audio then a "A" will appear in Blue color in the ME column.
Users who are watching your webcam will have a "V" in Blue color in the ME column.

| I want to send a Private Message to a user. Is it possible? |
 | Whisper - To send a private message to someone in the chat room type their username inside <> and type your message and send.
For ex. To send a private message to user Skywalk
Type in
whatever message.
Private messages will only be shown to the user. Other users in the chat room cannot see your whispers :) | |
| Can I View More than 1 webcam at the same time? |
 | Yes it is called Docking. You have a docking area "A/V Docking" where you can dock up to 2 users at the same time.
To add a user to the dock click on the dock button below their photo.
You can dock a maximum of 2 users and can watch up to 3 webcams at the same time.
For more docking you need to ask an admin to grant you additional docking. | |
| How do I put cool smiley emoticons in my messages in chat? |
 | To insert a smiley click on the :) button near the send button.
If you move your mouse on a smiley it will show you the keyboard shortcut and the name for the smiley.
You can choose a smiley and click on it.
If you know keyboard shortcuts for the smileys already, you can straight away type the smiley codes. For ex. :) is a keyboard shortcut for a smiling face. | |
| Is there any monitoring .. Policing of the chat room? Am I safe? |
| Yes we have round the clock administrators who keep the ill behaved and bad chatters out of the chat rooms. If you have any issues let the chat administrators know. |
| There is a nasty user in Chat. I don't want to receive any messages from a user.. |
Just hit the block button. This will prevent the particular user blocked from sending you any messages.
If you find something objectionable on anyone's webcam you can do the same thing. |
| I saw something disturbing or offensive on the webcam. Can you take some action? |
| Yes. To report a user click on the "Report Abuse" button on top right and choose the username and type your complaint. We will remove users who violate the rules out of the site as soon as possible. |
